Bravo! Bellevue is the Chamber’s newest addition to our outstanding lineup of events and programs this year. We are recognizing the very best in the business community at a fun-filled gala event on December 1st at Green Door Gourmet. Nominations will be accepted through October 19th, 2018. A panel of judges will narrow down the nominees to 3 finalists.

2018 Bravo! Bellevue Awards

The Businessman of the Year Award recognizes an individual who demonstrates outstanding strategic business thinking and is regarded as a leader in his field. Nominees can be self-employed or employed by a business. Nominees should exemplify the following criteria.

  • Delivered real business impact
  • Tackled business problems and obstacles with determination and creativity
  • Applied innovative thinking to push boundaries and find new and better ways to do things
  • Used self-belief to rise above adversity and reach their goals
  • Consistently demonstrated exceptional and progressive leadership
  • Displayed sound financial management and acumen
  • Mentored and inspired others striving for success
  • Used their success to give back to their community

The Businesswoman of the Year Award recognizes an individual who demonstrates outstanding strategic business thinking and is regarded as a leader in her field.Nominees can be self-employed or employed by a business. Nominees should exemplify the following criteria.

  • Applied innovative thinking to push boundaries and find new and better ways to do things
  • Used self-belief to rise above adversity and reach their goals
  • Consistently demonstrated exceptional and progressive leadership

  • Mentored and inspired others striving for success
  • Used their success to give back to their community

The Entrepreneur of the Year Award celebrates an individual who has demonstrated true entrepreneurial spirit by starting one or more businesses in the Bellevue area. Nominees should encompass a true passion for building something great from nothing and pushing themselves to the limits to achieve big goals. The entrepreneur will have a demonstrated record of business excellence through innovation in product or service, organizational growth and profit record, customer service, job creation, and overall positive returns to the local economy and community.

In recognition of a business that exemplifies excellence in its employee focus and development. Achievements should include: job creation, employee on-boarding, training & support programs, morale and job satisfaction initiatives, recognition and rewards programs and overall commitment to professional and personal employee development and success. A business with training initiatives that best harness the talent of its people, embrace diversity, and support employee success.

This award recognizes a successful new start-up business that has laid the foundation for future growth and achievement by developing sound business strategies and practices. Nominees must have been a licensed business for at least 1 but no more than 2 years. This new Bellevue business will have the greatest impact to the local economy and community as a whole within the previous 12 months as demonstrated through achievement in company growth through sales, employment, client acquisition and marketing. 

This award recognizes an individual with a proven record of exceptional community service. This individual will have a proven record of serving and helping others in the Bellevue community, outside of his or her employment. Nominees should exemplify generosity and outstanding civic and charitable responsibility and set an example that encourages others to take leadership roles. Nominees can be any individual in the Bellevue area.Sitting elected officials are not eligible.

Eligibility and Criteria:

– Nominees must be an active member of the Bellevue Harpeth Chamber by October 19, 2018 to be considered for an award (with the exception of the Servant Leader Award – this can be anyone in the community).

– Nominees’ businesses must be located in the Bellevue Harpeth area, or play a significant role in Bellevue’s business community.

– Self nominations are allowed. 

– Nominees must be advancing their field and the quality of life in Bellevue in a positive and productive way;

– Award recipient must be available to attend the Bravo! Bellevue Annual Awards Celebration on December 1, 2018, or send an acceptable substitute to receive the award on his/her behalf.

**Finalists will be contacted by the Nominating Committee for additional interviews.

**Award winners will be announced at the event.
